2025 in Review and a Look Ahead to 2026

As we close the books on 2025 and look ahead to 2026, SVTronics is proud to reflect on a year of growth, resilience, and innovation. We’ve strengthened customer relationships, expanded our team, and navigated the complexities of a dynamic electronics manufacturing landscape. Here’s a look back at the highlights of 2025 and a glimpse into what’s ahead.

2025 Highlights

Expanding Our Reach

This year, SVTronics made a significant impact across the industry by attending 13 trade shows and publishing 20 insightful blogs. These efforts not only showcased our expertise but also deepened our connections with customers and partners.

Growing Our Team

To support our expanding operations and customer base, we welcomed 40-50 new employees to the SVTronics family in 2025. This growth reflects our commitment to delivering unmatched quality and responsiveness to our clients.

New Partnerships

We were thrilled to partner with Hathaway Electronics, Inc., focusing on concentrated sales efforts in the New England area. This collaboration strengthens our ability to serve customers in this key region.

What’s Ahead for 2026

Tariff-Related Resilience: Navigating 2026 Challenges

As we look ahead to 2026, tariff-related factors are expected to impact electronics manufacturing through cost variability, documentation requirements, and potential lead-time disruptions. Key areas to watch include:

  • China-Origin Exposure (Section 301): Many components from China remain subject to duties, though certain HS-coded items qualify for exclusions extended through November 10, 2026. Eligibility is specific to HS codes and descriptions.
  • Metal Tariffs (Section 232): Tariffs on metal-heavy subcomponents like enclosures, brackets, and mounting hardware can increase costs and require additional documentation.
  • Low-Value Shipments: Changes to duty-free treatment mean small imports like samples and prototypes may face higher fees and customs delays.
  • Policy Volatility: Trade policy shifts can occur with little notice, creating mid-year pricing uncertainties.
  • EU Supply Chains: The EU’s CBAM phase for 2026 will require more detailed reporting on metal content for products entering EU supply chains.

SVTronics’ Approach:

  • Identifying tariff-sensitive items during quoting when origin/HTS exposure is known
  • Supporting alternate and dual-source strategies where practical
  • Organizing supplier documentation (country-of-origin, material declarations, etc.) to minimize surprises

What You Can Do:

  • Confirm part-level country-of-origin details (not just “ship-from”)
  • Validate HTS classifications for high-value items (especially metalwork and China-origin parts)
  • Identify whether any high-spend imports may qualify for extended exclusions through Nov 10, 2026
  • Treat low-value inbound shipments as “real imports” and plan lead time accordingly

SVTronics is ready to help review your BOM or program to identify tariff-sensitive areas and ensure smooth operations in 2026.
